ANDREA VENTLING

Andrea Ventling Art

Painter

Artist Bio:

In her art, Andrea explores the fragility of nature and how we interact with it. The movement of water, the flicker of light, the whisper of feathers and flowers – Andrea builds on these impressions to capture the familiar in fresh encounters. Her application of layered paints, gilding techniques, and dynamic brushstrokes transform indistinct memories into evocative projections. The atmospheric works retain fluidity and invite an immersive, sensory response from the viewers, reminding them of their connectedness and relationship to the natural world.

Originally from Switzerland, Andrea has moved through a degree in zoology, interior design work, and special paint finishes, to pursue her art full time. Her works have found homes in Switzerland, Ireland, Australia and Aotearoa. She works in her studio in Leigh, and is represented by selected galleries.
