Jill has always enjoyed drawing, painting and photography. Digital media has been a constant in capturing references for her art. Usually landscape flora and animals.

Largely self taught Jill has attended informal community study groups. An opportunity to join Mastery Programme 2005 changed Jill’s photo realistic style to one which is bigger and with more intuitive expression.

Having moved away from the busy city work environment more recently enabled the development of her style celebrating local landscapes and nature on canvas. The challenge of finding the right medium for any subject and arriving at a satisfactory result is the driving force. Jill favours acrylic layers sometimes with oil finish.
