Lillian Fromont has been passionate about Art since her earliest years. While still a school student she won prizes in local exhibitions and competitions, and while studying at Wellington Teachers’ College she took courses in Art, Art History and practical art application.

After marrying and bringing up her family, she continued painting, and running school courses in drawing for schoolchildren. After she retired and after the death of her husband she began painting in earnest, becoming a member of Kowhai Arts Club in Warkworth. Since then she has exhibited and won prizes in numerous local exhibitions and competitions, working mainly in acrylics.

Lillian has had a lifelong love for the natural world of New Zealand, it’s flora and fauna, the sea, the coast the sky, and especially the birds and forests where she is never wanting for inspiration.
