Toni is a self-taught artist. She has always drawn, mainly pencil work but has developed a love for abstract. This has opened up a path of creative learning and experimenting with acrylic, ink, pastel and spray paint. She has exhibited in The Red Door Gallery in Waipu and also entered her work in local art exhibitions held through the Mahurangi Tennis Club.

Toni has lived in Matakana with her husband and six children for over 30 years. They owned land on which Toni had an Equestrian business, training and breaking-in horses and coaching. She has spend many years with the Matakana Pony Club as Head Coach. Five of her children rode and competed through the Club. Her husband Stephen had a full-time native plant nursery. They sold up and moved into Warkworth four years ago and this enabled Toni to really pursue her love of art. She has a small studio out the back in which she can let her artistic juices flow.
